- 1 c. sugar
- 3 c. flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. milk
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 can fruit pie filling
Directions

1Combine dry ingredients.

2Cut shortening into dry ingredients as for pie crust.

3Mix egg, milk and vanilla and add to dry mixture.

4Pat mixture into ungreased 9 x 13-inch pan, saving 1/3 of mixture.

5Pour fruit filling over the mixture in pan and crumble remaining 1/3 mixture over the fruit.

6Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.
