- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 (No. 2 size) can fruit, drained (your choice)
- 1/4 to 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. fruit juice
Directions

1Cream butter or margarine and sugar together until fluffy. Sift together flour, salt and baking powder.

2Stir in alternately with the milk; beat until smooth.

3Pour into greased loaf pan or 2-quart casserole.

4Spoon drained fruit over batter.

5Sprinkle sugar over fruit.

6Pour fruit juice over top.

7Bake at 375° for 45 to 50 minutes.

8Serve with whipped cream, ice cream, Cool Whip or milk.
