  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 qt. fruit or large can (peaches are good)

Directions

    Melt butter in casserole dish; mix in all ingredients, except fruit.

    Pour fruit over batter.

    Do not stir!

    Bake at 450° for 30 minutes.

    Batter will rise over fruit.
