- 2 1/2 c. berries or fruit
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 c. boiling water
Directions

1Put berries or fruit in an 8 x 12 x 2-inch baking dish. Sprinkle lemon juice over the fruit.

2Cream together the butter, salt and sugar.

3Beat at high speed until thoroughly mixed.

4Sift together the flour and baking powder and alternate with the milk to

5the creamed mixture.

6After all flour and milk have been added, beat until firm.

7The dough will be thick and fluffy and will require about three minutes at high speed beating with an electric mixer.
