  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 34 cup milk
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 14 lb butter (1 stick)
  • fresh fruit (peaches, blueberries, apples or cherries)

    Melt butter in 8 x 8 cake pan.

    Mix remaining ingredients together into pan.

    Spoon sweetened fruit (to taste) over batter.

    Bake at 375 for 35-45 minutes.

    (NOTE: if you don't have fresh fruit, you can use frozen but reduce milk to 1/2 cup).
