- 1 (16 oz.) can fruit cocktail
- 1 c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 3/4 c. chopped pecans
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
Directions

1Drain fruit cocktail, reserving 1/2 cup liquid.

2Combine flour, sugar, baking soda and salt.

3Beat egg until thick.

4Add drained fruit cocktail and 1/2 cup reserved liquid.

5Stir in flour mixture.

6Pour into greased and floured 8-inch square cake pan. Combine pecans and brown sugar, mix well and sprinkle over top of batter.

7Bake in 350° oven for 30 to 40 minutes.
