- 1 egg, beaten
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 large can fruit cocktail, drained
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Mix together egg and sugar.

2Sift together flour, baking soda and salt, then add to egg mixture.

3To this, add the drained fruit cocktail and vanilla.

4Spread in buttered 8 x 8-inch pan.

5Mix together brown sugar and chopped nuts and sprinkle over batter. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.

6Top with whipped cream.
