Ingredients

  • 20 oz. can Musselman's sliced apples, drained (reserve syrup)
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • reserved 1 Tbsp. dry pie and pudding filling mix
  • reserved apple syrup
  • 2/3 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. quick cooking or old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1 pkg. dry butterscotch or vanilla pie and pudding filling mix (not instant)
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. butter, melted
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

    Combine the first 4 ingredients in an ungreased 1 1/2-quart casserole or 8-inch square baking pan; set aside.

    Combine the remaining ingredients in large bowl until well blended and crumbly.

    Sprinkle over apple mixture.

    Bake at 350° (325° glass) for 40 to 45 minutes until deep golden brown and bubbly.
