Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 12 cup evaporated milk
  • 12 cup molasses
  • 18 cup butter
  • 2 semi-sweet chocolate baking squares, melted
  • 12 cup nuts, cut fine
  • 14 cup raisins or 14 cup fruit
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

    Put the sugar, milk and molasses in a saucepan.

    Stir until dissolved.

    Boil over medium heat to 238F or until a little of the mixture forms a soft ball when dropped in cold water.

    Stir in the butter and chocolate.

    Allow to cool.

    Beat until creamy.

    Add nuts fruit and vanilla.

    Pour into 8x4 - inch greased loaf pan.

    When cooled, cut into squares.
