- apples, peaches, pears or nectarines

1Use apples, peaches, pears or nectarines.

2Fruit may be in any stage of ripeness.

3If using canned fruit, drain well.

4Peel and core fruit; blend until smooth.

5Cook in saucepan, 5 to 10 minutes over moderate heat.

6If watery, drain well.

7While cooking, add 1 teaspoon honey for each piece of fruit used.

8You may cook one piece or a dozen of the same type at one time.

9Lay out clear plastic wrap for each piece of fruit cooked, on cookie sheet. Spoon cooked fruit onto wrap, staying away from edge.

10Spread as thin as possible.

11Place tray in oven at lowest possible heat or just pilot light.

12Leave 6 to 8 hours overnight.

13Check to see if it is dry.

14If not, wait a while longer.

15When dry, remove from oven and roll fruit up like a jellyroll.
