- 4 lb. boneless pot roast
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. apple
- 2 (3-inch) sticks cinnamon
- 1 c. pitted prunes
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. water
- 6 oz. pkg. dried apricots
- 1 large cooking apple
Directions

1Brown roast on all sides in hot oil in a Dutch oven; pour off drippings.

2Sprinkle meat with salt and pepper; add apple juice, water and cinnamon sticks.

3Bring to boil; cover and reduce heat. Simmer for 1 hour.

4Add apricots, prunes and apple (peeled and sliced).

5Cover and cook an additional 30 minutes.

6Yields 8 to 10 servings.
