  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened Baker's chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions

    Cream the butter, sugar and vanilla; beat in eggs.

    Blend in melted chocolate.

    Stir in flour and nuts.

    Bake in greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan in a slow oven (325°) for 28 to 30 minutes.

    Cool. Cut into 16 squares.
