Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. baking cocoa
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 2/3 c. vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs. lightly beaten
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Directions

    In a mixing bowl, combine the first six ingredients.

    In another bowl, combine oil, eggs and vanilla; add to dry ingredients.

    Do not overmix.

    Spread in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.

    Sprinkle with nuts if desired.

    Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
