  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3/4 c. shortening
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder

    Combine all ingredients and mix well.

    Pour batter into a greased 9 x 2-inch cake pan.

    Bake in oven at 350° for 30 minutes. May be iced with favorite icing or sprinkle powdered sugar on top.
