  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/4 c. white Karo syrup
  • 2 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate (1 sq. = 3 Tbsp. cocoa plus 1 Tbsp. oil)
  • 1/2 c. margarine

    over low heat until chocolate

    and margarine melt.

    Bring to a rapid boil (one you can not stir down).

    Boil exactly 1 minute; set aside to cool. Beat until mixture loses its gloss.

    If stiff, add a few drops of cream.

    If too thin, add sifted

    confectioners sugar.

    This is great poured over warm yellow cake.
