  • 1/3 lb. unsalted butter
  • 1 1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 1/2 pkg. (18 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate morsels, melted
  • 2 Tbsp. strong black coffee
  • 2 Tbsp. dark rum
  • 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 c. pecans, chopped
  • 2 (9-inch) pastry pie shells (unbaked)

Directions

    Cream butter. Gradually add brown sugar, beating at medium speed until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one is added. Add melted chocolate, coffee and rum. Mix well. Stir in flour and pecans. Pour mixture into pie shells. Bake at 325° for 20 to 25 minutes. Makes two pies.
