- 2 Tbsp. plus 1/2 c. butter
- 8 oz. cream cheese (also works with light)
- 2 1/4 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. plus 1 1/3 c. milk (I use skim)
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 c. flour
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 4 oz. premelted unsweetened chocolate
Directions

1Grease and flour bottom of 13 x 9-inch pan.

2In small mixer bowl, combine 2 tablespoons butter, cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar, egg, 3 tablespoons milk and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla.

3Beat at high speed.

4Combine remaining ingredients in a large mixer bowl.

5Blend well; beat 4 minutes at medium speed.

6Spread half of batter in pan.

7Spoon cheese mixture over batter, spreading carefully to cover.

8Top with remaining batter and spread to cover.

9Do not mix batters.

10Bake at 350° for 50 to 60 minutes.

11Cool and frost (also good with powdered sugar instead of frosting).
