  • 1/2 c. plus 2 tsp. butter
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c. pecans (optional)

Directions

    Melt butter in medium saucepan. Combine sugar and cocoa.

    Add to butter.

    Blend in eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla.

    Stir in flour and nuts.

    Spread in greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Be careful not to overbake.

    Cool and cut into 16 squares.

    Sprinkle with confectioners sugar for an extra touch.
