- 2 beaten eggs
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. cooking oil
- sifted confectioners sugar
Directions

1In a bowl, combine eggs and milk.

2Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.

3Add to egg mixture.

4Beat until smooth.

5Test to see if mixture flows easily through a funnel.

6If too thick, add milk.

7If too thin, add flour.

8In 8-inch skillet, heat oil to 360°.

9Cover bottom opening of funnel with finger and pour a generous 1/2 cup of batter into hot oil in spiral shapes, initials, etc.

10Fry until golden brown, about 3 minutes.

11Turn carefully with tongs and wide spatula.

12Cook 1 minute more.

13Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

14Serve hot. Serves 4 to 6.
