- 1 egg
- 2/3 c. milk
- 1 1/3 c. sifted flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Beat the egg and add the milk.

2Sift the flour, salt, sugar, baking powder and baking soda together.

3To these, add the egg and milk.

4Beat until smooth.

5Holding your finger over the bottom of the funnel, pour some batter into the funnel.

6Drop batter into the hot oil, approximately 375°, swirling it into circles, from the center out.

7Make each cake about 6 inches in diameter.

8Fry until golden brown.
-
9Drain on brown paper and serve.
-
10Funnel should have 5/8-inch opening.
