- 1 large egg
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 c. all-purpose flour (unsifted)
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- confectioners sugar
Directions

1In an electric skillet or heavy, wide saucepan, heat 1 1/2 to 2-inches of vegetable oil to 360° on deep fry thermometer.

2In a medium bowl, beat egg with milk.

3Stir in flour, 1/4 teaspoon salt and the cinnamon.

4Mix until smooth, holding finger under funnel with 1/3-inch opening.

5Pour 1/4 cup batter into funnel.

6Starting in center of skillet, drop batter into hot oil.

7Move funnel in circle to make snail.

8Fry cake, turning once, until golden brown. Lift cake from oil and let drain over skillet.

9Place on paper towel and sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
