- 1 egg
- 1 1/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 3/4 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- oil for frying
- sifted powdered sugar
Directions

1In medium bowl, beat egg with milk, flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder and salt.

2Using funnel with about 3/8-inch diameter spout opening, hold finger over end of funnel spout.

3Pour about 3 tablespoons batter into funnel if using round mini-fryer, heated to 375° or 4 tablespoons of batter for rectangular mini-fryer. Move finger as batter flows through spout.

4Move funnel in a crisscrossing pattern above surface of hot oil until funnel is empty.

5Fry about 1 minute, turn and fry another 1/2 minute. Remove from pan, drain on paper towel.

6Sprinkle with powdered sugar.

7Makes 6 funnel cakes.
