  • 6 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh Italian parsley
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 1 loaf Italian or French bread, sliced 3/4 of the way through into 1/2-inch thick slices

    Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat.
