- 8 average sized apples, peeled and chunked small
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 1/3 sticks margarine melted
- 2 eggs
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Mix apples and sugar set aside.

3Grease and flour an oblong cake pan.

4Add margarine and eggs to apple mixture.

5Mix in flour, baking powder, nutmeg, soda, and cinnamon. Pour into a pan (larger size the better).

6Sprinkle top with a little table sugar and bake for 45 minutes, watching for it to turn dark golden brown.
