  • 4 apples large
  • 1 ounce melted butter
  • 1 ounce fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1 ounce brown sugar
  • 3 ounces almond paste
  • 1 ounce chopped almonds
  • 1 ounce raisins
  • 5 ounces heavy whipping cream

Directions

    Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

    Peel and core each apple. Brush them with the melted butter and then roll in the breadcrumbs and brown sugar.

    Fill each apple with almond paste. Place in the oven in a greased, oven-proof dish and bake for 20 minutes.

    Top each apple with almonds and raisins and return to the oven for another five minutes.

    Whip the cream and serve with the apples.
