- 3 lb. ground meat
- 1 c. rice, soak in water 15 to 20 minutes
- 2 carrots, shredded
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 stalk celery, chopped
- 2 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 bay leaf (can be added to sauerkraut)
- 1 large can sauerkraut
- 2 large heads cabbage
Directions

1Dip cabbage in hot water to soften.

2Cut center out and pull leaves apart.

3Roll meat into cabbage leaves.

4Place cabbage leaves on the bottom of a large roaster or cook in crock-pot.

5Add sauerkraut over the cabbage leaves and repeat layers.
