  • 3/4 c. sugar (150 g)
  • 1 3/4 c. flour (250 g)
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 can cherries, packed in water, drained (not cherry pie filling)

    Soften butter.

    Mix butter with eggs; beat in sugar, then flour.

    Add baking powder.

    Pour mixture into greased and floured cake pan.

    Dot the top with cherries.

    They will sink in while baking.
