German Cherry Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs fresh cherries, stems and stones removed, 4 set aside for decoration
  • 1 None orange, peeled and segmented
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2-1 tsp almond extract
  • 1/2-1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

    Put the de-stoned cherries in a blender with the orange segments, sugar, 4 tbsp water and the almond and vanilla extracts to taste. Blend until smooth, then chill until ready to serve.

    Taste and stir well before pouring into small serving glasses. Decorate each with a cherry.
