- 4 ounces German sweet chocolate
- 1 23 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 12 cup butter or 12 cup margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 13 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 egg yolks
- 23 cup buttermilk or 23 cup sour milk
- 3 egg whites (stiff beaten)
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can coconut pecan frosting
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350F.

2Grease and lightly flour 8X1 1/2 inch round baking pan.

3Heat chocolate and 1/3 cup water til chocolate melts; cool.

4Beat butter about 30 seconds.

5Add sugar and vanilla; beat til fluffy.

6Add egg yolks one at a time beating one min after each.

7Beat in chocolate mixture.

8Add dry ingredients and buttermilk.

9Fold in egg whites.

10Bake for 30 to 35 minutes.

11Cool 10 minutes.

12Frost.
