German Chocolate Pie

  • 1 (10-inch) unbaked pie shell
  • 1 bar German's sweet chocolate
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 12 oz. can Carnation milk
  • 1 can or 1 1/4 c. coconut
  • 1/2 c. chopped pecans

Directions

    Melt chocolate and margarine over low heat and set aside. Beat eggs until light and fluffy.

    Add sugar, salt and cornstarch and beat until smooth.

    Mix in the melted chocolate, then add Carnation milk.

    Pour into crust.

    Mix nuts and coconut.

    Sprinkle on top of filling.

    Bake 1 hour or until done.
