  • 1 (4 oz.) pkg. German's sweet chocolate
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1 2/3 c. evaporated milk
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/3 c. flaked coconut
  • 1/2 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 unbaked 10-inch pie shell

Directions

    Melt chocolate and margarine in saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly.

    Remove from heat.

    Stir in milk gradually. Combine dry ingredients with eggs and vanilla in bowl.

    Mix well. Blend in chocolate mixture.

    Pour into pie shell and sprinkle with coconut and pecans.

    Bake at 375° for 45 minutes.

    Cool for 4 hours or longer.
