German Chocolate Pie

- 3 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. cake flour
- 1 tsp. cornstarch
- 2 eggs
- 1 stick melted margarine
- 2 oz. bitter chocolate, melted
- 1 pt. evaporated milk (2 c.)
- pinch of salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- approximately 3/4 c. chopped pecans and flaked coconut
Directions

1Mix sugar, flour and cornstarch together, blending well.

2Add eggs, mixing well.

3Add melted margarine and chocolate, mixing only until blended and smooth. Gradually add milk, mixing and keeping bowl scraped down well. Stir in vanilla (more if desired) and salt. Sprinkle chopped pecans on top of coconut over bottom of two 10-inch unbaked pie shells.

4Pour chocolate mixture into shells and bake approximately 40 minutes in a 350° oven.
