- 3/4 c. warm water (105~)
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 2 1/4 c. flour, divided
- 1/4 c. lard
- brown sugar and cinnamon (for topping)
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tsp. margarine or butter
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water.

2Let stand a few minutes, then stir.

3Stir in sugar, salt and 1 cup of the flour.

4Beat the egg; add softened lard and add to flour mixture.

5Beat in the remaining flour until mixture is smooth.

6Drop by spoonfuls into a greased shallow baking pan.

7Let rise in a warm place until dough is nearly doubled.

8Dot the top of dough with the slivers of margarine or butter.

9Then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Bake 30 minutes at 375°.
