German Creamed Bratwurst

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • margarine
  • 2 tbsp. all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2-1/2 cup milk
  • 1 (12) pkg. fully cooked bratwurst, sliced in 1/2 inch pieces
  • 1/4 cup snipped parsley
  • Toast points

Directions

    In skillet cook mushrooms and onion in butter till vegetables are tender but not brown.

    Stir in flour, salt, and 1/8 teaspoon pepper.

    Add milk all at once; cook and stir till mixture is thickened and bubbly.

    Stir in sliced bratwurst and parsley.

    Heat through.
