Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3/4 c. soft bread crumbs
- 1 3/4 c. water, divided
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 2 beef bouillon cubes
- 1/2 c. broken gingersnaps
- 1/3 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 c. raisins
- 2 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
- cooked noodles
Directions

1Combine beef, egg, crumbs, 1/4 cup water, onion, salt and pepper.

2Shape into 1 1/2-inch balls.

3Set aside.

4In large skillet bring remaining water to a boil.

5Add bouillon, sugar, raisins, lemon juice and gingersnaps.

6Stir thoroughly.

7Add meatballs to skillet.
-
8Simmer until cooked, about 20 minutes. Serve with noodles.
