German Noodle Bake

  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. noodles
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c. celery, chopped
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 c. sour cream
  • 2 c. cottage cheese
  • 1 c. Velveeta or Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

    Cook noodles in salted water.

    Saute onion and celery in butter until golden.

    Add pepper.

    Blend into cooked noodles in 2-quart casserole.

    Add sour cream, cottage cheese and 3/4 of shredded cheese.

    Pour beaten eggs over all and blend gently. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of cheese over all and bake for 1 hour at 350°. Let stand a few minutes before serving.

    May be made in flat pan and cut into squares.
