  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 dash salt

Directions

    Heat the oven to 425.

    Melt the butter in a 10 inch, ovenproof skillet (cast iron is best; I've also used a pie pan).

    Add the remaining ingredients and stir to blend.

    Bake 12-15 minutes, or until risen and golden.
  5. 5
    Serve with powdered sugar, brown sugar, jam, syrup- whatever suits your fancy.
