Ingredients
- 1 medium cabbage
- 1/2 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 medium apple, chopped
- 6 cloves
- 1/2 c. vinegar
- 1 1/2 bay leaves
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 2 slices bacon, fried and crumbled
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Fry and crumble bacon; slice or shred cabbage and dice onion and apple.

2Put all in pot and add one cup water.

3Bring to boil and reduce heat to low.

4Simmer until done, about 45 minutes or until tender.

5Remove bay leaves.

6Freeze if you like.

7Serve with Polish sausage.

8Heat sausage with cabbage or alone.
