Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 to 2 lb. ground chuck or ground round
  • 1 large green pepper
  • 3 stalks peeled celery
  • 1 lb. whole or diced tomatoes
  • 1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomato juice
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Brown meat while cutting veggies.

    Wash, drain and then boil veggies.
  3. 3
    Drain veggies and mix all ingredients into large pot. Bring to a boil and then turn down to simmer for 30 minutes. After draining veggies, I cook on high a few minutes to get all the water out of them (keep stirring).

    Then I mix all ingredients.

    You can add more veggies, sauces and spices as you like.
