- 2 sticks margarine or butter
- 2 tsp. lemon extract
- 5 eggs
- 3/4 c. ginger ale
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
Directions

1Cream butter and shortening.

2Add sugar; continue to cream until smooth.

3Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each.

4Add flavoring, then add flour and ginger ale alternately.

5Bake in a tube pan at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

6Freezes very well.
