- 13 cup cornflake crumbs
- 1/4 cup brown sugar firmly packed
- 3 tablespoons flour, all-purpose
- 2 tablespoons crystallized ginger (candied) or 1 tsp ginger
- 2 tablespoons margarine or butter
- 6 each apples rome or mcintosh, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1 1/2 cups frozen yogurt non-fat vanilla, or ice milk
Directions

1Heat oven to 400F (200C).

2Spray 8 inch square (1 1/2 quart) baking disk with non stick spray.

3In a small bowl, combine the cornflake crumbs, brown sugar, flour and ginger; mix well.

4Add in melted margarine or butter and mix well.

5Place apples in spray-coated dish.

6Add sugar and lemon juice; toss to coat.

7Sprinkle apples with crumb mixture; press gently.

8Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until apples are tender and mixture is bubbly.

9Cool slightly; serve with frozen vanilla yogurt or ice milk.
