  • 2 c. syrup
  • scant c. bacon drippings or 2 sticks oleo and 1 Tbsp.*
  • pinch of salt
  • rounding Tbsp. baking soda
  • rounding cook spoon ginger
  • 5 c. flour (for stiff dough)

Directions

    Heat syrup (do not boil). Pour over bacon drippings (*or oleo). Add baking soda, salt, ginger and flour. Roll, cut and cook at 325°.
