  • 1/3 c. Crisco
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. molasses
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

    Cream the Crisco, sugar, egg, molasses and water.

    Blend in remaining ingredients and chill.

    Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet.

    Bake 8 minutes in a 350° oven or until no imprint remains when touched lightly in the center.
