Ginger Date Chocolate Slice

- 125 g butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup dates, chopped, pitted
- 60 g glace ginger, chopped finely
- 3 cups corn flakes, crushed
- 100 g dark chocolate
- 30 g butter, extra
Directions

1Grease and line lamington tin, 26 x 16 cms.

2Combine butter, sugar, dates and ginger in pot.

3Cook over medium heat till butter melts and dates are soft.

4Transfer to a bowl, ad cornflakes.

5Mix well and press into tin.

6Refrigerate till firm, at least an hour.

7Melt choc and extra butter together - I do this in the microwave.

8Spread over slice, allow to set.

9Cut into squares to serve.
