  • 1 pkg. Duncan Hines Deluxe II spice cake mix
  • 1/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. dark Brier Rabbit molasses
  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 c. boiling water
  • 1 tsp. ginger

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    Melt butter in boiling water; stir in molasses.

    Combine dry cake mix and ginger in a large mixer bowl. Blend in molasses mixture.

    Add eggs and beat for 1 minute.

    Pour into a greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

    Bake at 350° for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
