- 2 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 c. soft butter
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. molasses
- 1 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Sift all dry ingredients together.

2Cream butter.

3Add sugar gradually, beating well.

4Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.

5Stir in molasses.

6Add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk.

7Mix well.

8Bake in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan in a 350° oven for 35 minutes or until done.
