  • 3 large eggs
  • 12 cup Dark Karo syrup
  • 1 cup sour milk
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 12 cups sugar
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Directions

    Grease and flour and 9 x 13 pan.

    Make sour milk by adding 1 tsp of vinegar to a cup of milk.

    Mix all ingredients together and put into the pan.

    Bake at 350 until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, approximately 30 minutes.
