  • 2 c. syrup
  • 1 scant c. bacon drippings
  • pinch of salt
  • rounded Tbsp. baking soda
  • rounded cook spoon ginger
  • flour for stiff dough (about 5 c.)

Directions

    Heat syrup (do not boil). Pour over bacon drippings.

    Add baking soda, salt, ginger and flour.

    Roll and cut.

    Bake at 350°.
