  • 4 teaspoons cinnamon ground
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves or allspice, ground
  • 1 1/2 sticks butter 12 tablespoons
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 1 teaspoon water

Directions
