- 6 ounces flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon mixed spice
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 3 ounces butter
- 3 ounces golden syrup (warmed)
- 3 ounces brown sugar
Directions

1Preheat oven to 325°F

2Sift the flour, salt, baking soda, spices, and baking powder together.

3Rub in the butter.

4Stir in the brown sugar.

5Add the warmed Golden Syrup and mix well.

6Place 1 tbsp dollops on a greased cookie sheet and bake for about 8 minutes. Allow to cool for a minute, then transfer to wire rack to cool the rest of the way.
